Yoona’s Drama to Be Aired in Japan

Yoona, a member of idol girl band Girls’ Generation, will be first introduced to Japan as an actress rather than as a singer. The KBS1 drama “You Are My Destiny,” in which she appeared, will be aired on the Japanese cable channel Eisei Gekijo from May 19. She won the Best New Actress award for the role she played in the drama at the 2008 KBS Drama Awards.

In promoting the family drama, to be broadcast in Hi-Vision, the Japanese channel said that it topped the TV ratings chart for 14 consecutive weeks, with the last episode recording 40.3 percent viewer ratings. Yoona made her acting debut through the drama, it added.

The actress and singer will appear in the new MBC drama “Cinderella Man” playing opposite heartthrob Kwon Sang-woo, which will be aired on Wednesdays and Thursdays from April 15.

Beethoven Virus is a popular drama series on MBC that aired its final episode on Wednesday, November 12. The show recorded an impressive average viewer rating of 20 percent. It drew significant attention from viewers and critics because it revealed the lives of classical musicians in an orchestra—a relatively fresh topic for a TV drama series.
The series garnered a lot of attention right from the start with its cast. He believes classical music was created strictly for the nobility.

Younger-generation TV viewers raved over hunky young actor Jang Geun-suk, who played the role of Kang Gun-woo, a traffic police who was born with a gift for music. He doesn’t even know how to read a music score, yet he possesses a natural talent for playing the trumpet simply by ear. He eventually joins a project orchestra through a friend’s recommendation, which gives him an opportunity to open his eyes and ears to music and conducting.

Even the press conference held prior to the regular televising of the drama series surprised fans with a classical concert complete with a full-scale orchestra. Actor Yeon Jeong-hoon has decided on MBC drama "East of Eden" as his comeback work after being released from the army. His management company officially announced his participation in "East of Eden" following Song Seung-heon and Lee Da-hae.

"Yi San" the next Hallyu character following "Dae Jang Geum"

Synopsis
