Actress Lee Ae-jeong Dies of Brain Tumor

Actress Lee Ae-jeong (20) was belatedly reported to have died of a brain tumor.

The news first broke on the Internet Thursday.

Diagnosed with the disease in July last year, Lee underwent two surgeries and was relocated to the provinces, where she passed away on Sept. 6.

Since playing the child role played by Han Chae-young in the famed drama series 'Autumn Tale,' Lee had been regarded as a promising young talent.

She reportedly did not want news of her ailment to be released to the public.

Since her death, a growing number of netizens have visited her Cyworld homepage to pay condolences. Greetings that Lee wrote on the site before she died include the message, "Thank you everyone. I'll heal quickly to repay your gratitude. Thank you. I love you."

'Coffee Prince' Gong Yoo, Looking Good Even When Trying to Avoid the Heat

Gong Yoo, star of the MBC Monday-Tuesday drama 'Coffee Prince', was caught on camera trying to avoid the hot weather.

The pictures from the drama’s filming location of Gong Yoo trying to avoid the heat is displayed on his fanclub site, ‘YOO & I’ (http://cafe.daum.net/gongyoo).

In order to avoid the hot summer, Gong Yoo was seen blocking the sun with a large umbrella and using a fan while reading lines. He was also seen using a mini electric fan during breaks and having a cold glass of ice coffee, worthy of being named ‘Coffee Prince’.

During the last filming of ‘Coffee Prince', the drama’s actors and crew were seen full of laughter, working in harmony and showing great teamwork even in the hot summer weather.

A drama representative stated, "The paper fan, mini electric fan, drinks, and ice cream that Gong Yoo’s fans sent were of great help.”

TVXQ to Sing Theme Song for Bae Yong Joon's Drama

Korean boy band TVXQ will sing the theme song for Bae Yong Joon’s new drama ‘The Story of the First King's Four Gods’. The song is composed by famous Japanese composer and director Joe Hisaishi.

The drama will be aired in several Asian countries. It has already received considerable attention because of the cast members Bae Yong Joon and Moon So Ri even before it starts shooting. TVXQ will release their 13th single ‘SHINE/Ride on’ in Japan on September 19.

Lee Jun Ki visits Japan for 'My Girl' promotion

Actor Lee Jun Ki is promoting in Japan. Capturing audiences both on screen and television through the 2005 'My Girl' and movie 'The King and the Clown,' he will now reach out to Japan amidst his popularity in the current drama series 'Time Between Dog and Wolf' as well as the movie 'Splendid Holiday.'

'My Girl' will be aired starting on the 6th through TV Tokyo. Lee Jun Ki will attend an event commemorating the broadcast of 'My Girl' at the Tokyo International Forum on September 13th and also an event for the opening of his official Japanese website and fan club the following day. The event on the 14th will be held with 150 invited fan members preceded by a press conference. He will also conduct personal interviews with various media personnel on the 15th.

The event on the 13th has been gathering attention for the planned 30 minute talk with Iwai Shimako, a writer and fan of Lee Jun Ki.

Lee Wan returns through the drama 'In Soon Yi is Pretty'

Actor Lee Wan will return to the TV screen through the upcoming KBS drama series 'In Soon Yi is Pretty.'
Lee Wan will play the role of Geun Soo in the series that is set to air on October 31st. Geun Soo is the younger brother, though not blood related, who lived with In Soon Yi (Kim Hyun Joo), and protects her after she is released from prison for murder.

Since his last drama appearance in 'Tree of Heaven' last March, Lee Wan starred in movies and a Japanese drama series costarring Japanese actress Suzuki Ami amongst others.

Lee wan says, "Geun Soo is a character that protects and loves In Soon Yi, not as a woman, but as a person. Regardless of whether it is the main or supporting character, I would like to take on good roles in good pieces."

'In Soon Yi is Pretty' will be produced and written by director Pyo Min Soo and writer Jung Yoo Gyung who also worked together in 'What planet are you from?' The series follows the story of In Soon Yi who was sent to prison in high school for an accidental murder but doesn't lose hope and finds happiness in life.
