Because of her previous experience with Tae Kwon Do, Eun Chan has quite the bold and opinionated personality. Choi Han Kyul seems to know women well and thinks of himself as a great guy.

After accidentally being mistaken for a man by Han Kyul's older brother, Choi Han Seong, she starts working at Coffee Prince, and falls in love with the hot-tempered owner Choi Han Kyul. Han Kyul hires Eun Chan to avoid an arranged marrage by pretending to be romantically linked to a "gay" Eun Chan.

But Choi Han Kyul slowly starts to develop feelings for her, but still doesn't believe in love. Eun Chan also starts to have feelings for Han Kyul but can't confess that she's a woman, Han Kyul, continues thinking that the agonized Go Eun Chan is a man. Choi Han Kyul thinks he's experiencing feelings of homosexuality towards her, and gets heartsick. This side of him was drawn in a risky but fun way.

The part when he discovers that Go Eun Chan is a woman is shown in an undemanding way, and the story doesn't concentrate on just these two people, but also on the other people who frequent Coffee Prince. These people are shown one by one in a natural way, and since the story isn't just about romance but about the natural conflicts of all the characters.

Extra Information

Ha Rim is the first to find out Eun Chan is a actually a girl.

CP is the best k-drama for me! (i claimed goong and foxy lady as the best until i watched cp)..fell in love with each and every characters..great concept(actors working in a coffee shop), simple storyline yet very captivating..reached 17th episode yet it was not boring nor dragging..there are so many heart melting scenes between the two leads..you'll scream your heart out for every "sweet" moments of han gyul and eun chan (i tell you, there are so MANY!), at the same time get ready to wipe your tears with some parts of the drama, esp when han gyul found out that she is a girl, (what else?) that part when he terribly misses her while battling with the idea of being a gay, and of course near the last part wherein eun chan sobbed heavily over the phone while saying "saranghe" (is it correct?) to han gyul a couple of times..i like the idea that han gyul fell in love (unknowingly) with eun chan even before realizing she is a woman, despite the trauma he had with the idea of him being a homosexual and convincing himsels that he "could not" fall in love with the same sex..i must also commend the writer for not actually changing eun chan's ways to be more feminine after han gyul discovered her gender and when they are already a couple..it's quite refreshing to know that such a hunk like him will fell "madly" in love with a boyish coffee employee in a short hair and oversized shirts..you'll also grow fond of the second lead couple- their story is much more realistic, they both have good personalities and it very easy to like both characters..it's not always good to watch dramas with second leads as the "villain" and "relationship-wrecker"-- their involvement in the story added more flavor in hangyul-eunchans' pair-up.. I must admit story itself is not so realistic esp believing that eun chan is actually a guy- but the drama is still so damn good..btw, is eun chan a "unisex" name in korea? quite confused that han gyul did not even had clue regarding her sexuality by just even hearing her name? (iv got a pt.right?!)..never mind, even enjoyed it BETTER than goong and vineyard man among others..i must admit eun hye and gong yoo are mature and excellent actors esp when doing their lovescenes (he's a good kisser!)..ive heard they're not actually romantically attracted in real life..see this series and you'll actually believe that they are- there's definitely a chemistry between them that you wouldn't want the drama to come to an end..eun hye fans, dont dare to miss this series- she arguably blossomed into a mature actress here- her portrayal as a guy with her actions and gestures is quite convincing (except with her voice and small framed body)..and for those who just became familiar of gong yoo bcoz of cp (just like me) this series definitely is worth watching!..i am actually planning to watch it again if my busy sched permits me..i will definitely find time and rekindle the love han gyul and go eun chan shared..haay, it's always feels tremendously good falling in love.. i share this series with all the coffee addicts out there just like me (im still not planning to go on rehab) hahaha..

The first episode was so good that I couldn't stop watching and failed to realize that it was already morning! Yoon Eun Hye really looks good with short hair (atleast in my opinion) To me it's not only one of the cutest but THE CUTEST drama I've ever watched.

salute1 to te writers of this series...i love the story so much, i even dream of it every night in my sleep..i got hooked and even forgot to eat my lunch and dinner..i sleep late and wake up early just to watch it in dvd..i love the idea of a hunk guy falling in love with a tomboyish girl, actually i felt like i was Eun Chan..hehehehe and Han Kyul was my bf, ohh!! how i wish that was true..i can't even imagine i'm telling you all this i feel like a kid..hahaha anywys i hope u guys do a sequel coz i felt sad when you ended it that way, you could've let us see what Eun Chan brought to gramdmother from italy, how their wedding would be, how beautiful Eun Chan would be in her wedding gown, and how gorgeous Han Kyul would be in a black suit, we, your fans would also like to know how Eun Chan would manage the coffe princes...pls pls do the coffe prince sequel..plsss!! oh!! before I forgot i also like the cute japanese korean guy in the story, the waffle maker, don't forget to put him aslo in the next coffe prince...i'm expecting the sequel ..ok!! c",)

Absolutely LOVED it. So completely natural in its sentimentality, and I frankly can't bring myself to watch any other dramas yet so as not to taint the feelings I have left over from watching this.

I never like korean or Japanese drama until Coffee Prince. When it was first shown in Singapore, I thought "well it's just another Korean drama and nothing exiciting". I watched for the first few episodes, i had a feeling that well is not too bad but just a comedy.

Until i watched towards the middle when Yoon Eun Hye started to fall into GongYoo and vice versa....my perception on this drama changed drastically!!! I LOVE this drama.

As I cannot wait to watch the whole story and so I bought the whole DVD set and guess what...I have watched for the 2nd time!!!

Yoon Eun Hye's acting is great and it matches with Gong Yoo very well. I think the casting is very good and should be given much credit on the succesful of this drama.

If I were to choose the best scene for this drama, I would definitely choose the scene when Han Keol went back to the coffee shop, hugged and kissed Eun Chan and told her that "I like you, irregardless of if you are a guy or alien", It's too difficult to keep my feeling from you and Let us go through this together and see how far can it be"

For those who have not watched it, please do so and You will not regret and I am very sure you will love it!

I started to like Gong Yoo and Yoon Eun Hye! Oh ya...try the Original Sound Track too....is very nice! Especially this song called White Love Story.

Hello!!!

I used to hate Korean novelas but when I tried to watch Coffee Prince...I really fell in-love, especially to Goong Yoo. I even bought a DVD copy of CP so I could watch it anytime...even a million times. Just like them, I want to have a part 2...with all the original casts... no less... Gong Yoo and Yoon Eun Hye lokk good together. I wish to see them together on Coffee Prince Part 2...married...etc... I am crazy in-love like the two...hehehe It is my first time to be like this. Just like Gong Yoo said in one scene where they were in Yoon Eun Hye's room..."I do not know how I become like this."

i wish life could be that great!!

I fully agree with the anonymous Singaporean who had sent a comment here at 10.33pm.

This is so apt to my feeling on this drama too. When it was first publicize in the Msian TV that time, when the drama starts show, I kept the perception of, ah...Korean movies like others, always with unrealistic-fantasy settings/ theme most of the time, which I find it exaggerating at times for most of the Korean dramas esp. Adding with the Mandarin translation on the TV, it sounds even more fake & too loud & harsh-manner which adds to the unrealistic point. But, when one fine day when I was a lil bit feeling like switching on the TV, I hit on this channel again & tot well maybe I shall pick this one & watch casually. THinking that I will be bored to sleep again, it turns out that I found this story plot so interesting. Most imptly, the on&off personal genuine issues that was brought out caught me by surprise, which I was thinking this is no joke man..this shud be a good one, & I starts to get curious on this series which after that episode I quickly when Google-d it up to read up more info on it.

So, I started to get a lil bit more obliged to come home earlier to start follow the series until Episode 12 - a Friday, I finally decided tat I dont think I can wait any longer to finish it up plus I had been on & off missing the earlier episodes. I pick up my phone & start calling frens to bring me out to go search for DVDs at nite, & by chance my fren's sister got a burn DVD copy which I requested quickly that I cant wait to watch. I took two full days to finish up all episodes, only realized that it is so good. All the casting member's chemistry esp YEH & GY. I got even more impressed by how the series had been directed with the brilliant writer who had scripted this.

The feeling is so true & so commonplace in real life but so difficult to express out at most of the time when we encounter the exact situation. Good e.g. such as HanKyul genuinely likes Eun-Chan even though Han Kyul "noes" that she is a guy; EunChan raised up her hand as if she was hugging to comfort Han Kyul when HanKyul was sharing his real past family background with EunChan & suddenly EunChan realized that she should not be dreaming as she is still a boy in his eyes & quickly hide her emotion; the moment when EunSae secretly sobbing when her sis is packing to go study offshore but couldnt cry it out loud in the kitchen; the fact that HanKyul dare not send her off in the airport so that both parties wont get entangled & spoil the plan, HanKyul suffer & cry like a boy himself while driving the car; although some might don like the fact that Yu Joo changed her love here & there easily, when Yu Joo still hanged out very intimately with HanKyul at times, get closed with DK at times & take HanSeong for granted at times, it still portrays in real life it happens in many of us, where they consciously knows tat they have a relationship alrdy, yet sometimes kind of undecided step outside of the boundary & get a lil bit overboard & held back & regretted after tat, & yet a patient man is willing to wait there; HanSeong gets so angry/confused between getting this undecided ex gf back or ask her to go just becos he felt tat Yu Joo seems like playing with his feelings; the battle of survival yet with a good spirit - EunChan; the typical first time enjoyment of studying when the opportunity is so limited previously for EunChan; the time when the HanKyul-EnuChan couple felt so embarrassed esp EunChan after staying overnite in HanKyul house & acted so innocently - it is very sweet indeed; HanKyul for being such a gentlemen to warn EunChan not to got too close with him (when she came over to his house one nite & refused her from coming in), cos HanKyul knows tat he might get overboard & yet he had been very respectful to EunChan - (guys, pls role model HanKyul - the other opposite will love u even more); the attempt of HanKyul to feel EunChan when she felt asleep on the beach, but battle in his mind that he should stop all this "insanity, nonsense" but struggled so much to go against HanKyul's very true feeling to "him".

There are so many of these memorable moments in this drama which i classify it as the "Jing Dian" of this CP. That's y I'm watching over & over again, surprisingly I am not bored. The plots of the stories are light but memorable but not to the extent of unrealistic, that's the best piece of the drama. it mixes some "sane" inside at certain point of time which creates more authentic feeling for this whole series.

The chemistry of YEH & Gong Yoo is just too good, but I heard that in actual fact seems like they are not very mutually attract to each other, but to be honest if they can be couples in actual, I guess it will be a perfect ending for all.

I am advocating this drama to many ppl, but they seems like thinking that i am exaggerating with the same notion i'd previously that ah.. it is just another K-drama, wat's so special....surprisingly one of my colleagues who is not at all into all these TVs, got so caught up with this CP DVD during this Chinese New Year where she watched it "by accident" also. & she said it is just so authentic. It really touches her heart so much.

Perfectly true, the sound track put on the drama is so perfect for the moment, real kudos for those brilliant ppl who picked the right song. So matching. which I sometimes got so engrossed with that few minutes that I starts to search around for the song hopefully can download, but unfortunately couldnt be found... :(

Nevertheless, with GY now in military service, i observed that many CP fans are so concern but are so willingly to wait. For YEH, with the health issue popped up & some contract issues, everybody is so concern that everybody also agrees that YEH should really take good care of herself & not sacrificing all the time to CP alone. All ppl are concern with their real life too now with the hope of having them really pair up in the real life. :) That should be sweeter than ever. I thk this shud be the best ending & the REAL best drama......

Lovers in Paris was the last korean drama series i had watched. I trully fell in love with Coffee Prince, their acting is so natural and funny too.
Last Friday night at 10.00 p.m. I watched the whole episodes until the next day afternoon, i break my own record for nearly 12 hours without sleep just becuase of this drama.
And I love to watch Yoon Eun Hye, she's cute and pretty, Gong Yoo also charming and funny as well. Both of them really makes a good drama for korean in 2007.
